THE ROLE

As a Solution Electrical Designer at Kempower, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to the ever-evolving EV market. On a typical day, you'llsupport customer project planning with technical designs, share insights that help shape product development, produce detailed engineering drawings, or educate colleagues on site design best practices and new product implementation, making a direct impact on our mission to revolutionize transportation.

ROLE SPECIFICS

At Kempower we work hybrid. However, occasional traveling is expected in this role. The Solutions Support community operates globally, while the Global Solutions Support team you would belong to is primarily based in Finland, close to Product Management and Development. To support smooth collaboration, we expect you to work from the office an average of two or three days per week.

WHAT HELPS YOU SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE

• Educational background in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, or long-lasting documented experience

• Strong knowledge of electrical system design principles, including power distribution, circuit design, and energy management.

• Experience in designing and implementing electrical infrastructure, preferably in the electrical utility, EV charging or renewable energy sector.

• Experience in creating various documents including line diagrams and technical studies.

• Familiarity with electrical/utility construction codes, industry regulations, and safety standards.

• Proficiency in industry-standard CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) for 2D and 3D design work.

• Familiarity with simulation and analysis tools (e.g., MATLAB, ETAP).

• Curiosity to quickly develop in-depth knowledge of EV charging solutions.

• Strong problem-solving skills, collaborative and supportive mindset.

• Certification in Computer Aided Design is a plus.
