ABOUT THE TRAINEE POSITION:
We are seeking a motivated and forward-thinking Monitoring Engineer Trainee to join our growing digital support and remote monitoring team for EV fast charging solutions for approximately 3-4 months (May-end of August). The exact start date and duration will be agreed separately, and the position can start earlier than May depending on the candidate’s availability.
In this role, you will develop hands-on experience in monitoring charging networks, supporting customer cases, and performing remote diagnostics using modern cloud-based tools.
Working closely with experienced engineers, you will learn how to follow structured support processes, contribute to preventive and predictive maintenance practices, and help ensure reliable service for our customers. This trainee position offers a strong foundation for building a career in digital support operations, EV infrastructure, and remote diagnostics.
YOUR EVERYDAY WORK CAN CONTAIN E.G. THE FOLLOWING TASKS:
Providing remote support for EV fast charging systems through cloud-based monitoring platforms and existing service management platform (Jira).
Monitoring charging networks in real-time, proactively identifying anomalies, faults, or performance deviations and initiate corrective actions according to service guidelines.
Handling and resolving incoming customer cases promptly, escalating to service regions, when necessary.
Performing remote diagnostics and troubleshooting to support fast resolution of customer issues.
Ensuring clear, consistent, and timely communication with priority SLA customers, including incident updates and post-resolution reporting.
Creating and refining standard operating procedure documentation with help from other team members.
At Kempower, we work in a hybrid model. In this role, we expect on-site presence a couple of days per week at our Helsinki office.
WHAT HELPS YOU SUCCEED IN THIS TRAINEE POSITION?
You are a final-year student or a recent graduate in electrical engineering, computer science, telecommunications, IT, or a related field.
Strong interest in EV charging technologies, digital services, or remote monitoring operations.
Basic understanding of IT systems, networking, cloud environments, or software systems (you will receive training).
Analytical mindset with good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong willingness to learn and develop technical expertise in monitoring and diagnostics.
Good communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude.
Ability to work in a structured and process-driven way while being open to feedback and development.
Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus
