Internal Communications Manager, fixed-term
We are looking for a passionate and skilled Internal Communications Manager to join our team as a parental leave substitute, with a fixed-term contract at least until 31.12.2026.
You are part of Kempower’s Marketing & Communications Team and report to the VP, Communications. The role is an individual performer and does not at the time include people manager responsibilities.
We are working in a hybrid setting and preference is given to candidates based or able to commute to our Lahti Headquarters. Our expectation is that the selected person will be working from our Lahti offices 2 days per week.
In this role, you will,
- Plan, create, and deliver internal communications that engage and inform employees across the organization.
- Support leadership in internal communication and change initiatives.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure consistent messaging and tone across all internal channels.
- Measure and develop internal communication effectiveness.
- Support the People and Culture team in employee communications.
- Support the Information Management team in managing internal communication channels.
WHAT HELPS YOU SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE
- Proven experience in internal communications, preferably in a corporate and/or international environment.
- Excellent writing and editing skills in both Finnish and English.
- A digitally fluent mindset – someone who easily adopts new tools and platforms and enjoys finding smart ways to use them to enhance communication impact.
- Strong interpersonal and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced setting.
As our official company language is English, proficiency in spoken and written English is required. In this role, we also expect fluency in Finnish.
Experience and skills with the following tools are considered an advantage:
- SharePoint: Familiarity with using SharePoint as an intranet platform, including content creation, page management, and structuring internal communications for easy access and engagement.
- MS Teams: Proficiency in using Teams for internal communication, including organizing hybrid meetings/events and managing team channels.
- Slack: Experience as a Slack administrator, including managing channels, user permissions, integrations, and promoting effective communication practices across teams.
