ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Funding & Incentives Manager you will:
- Strategic Funding Capture: Develop and execute a comprehensive funding strategy to proactively identify and capture federal, state, and local capital (e.g., NEVI, IRA, DOE programs) to directly drive EV charging sales.
- Customer Consulting & Grant Management: Serve as a Customer-Facing Funding Consultant, modeling project financial returns and managing the end-to-end development and submission of all high-value grant applications on behalf of our clients.
- Expertise & Compliance: Act as the foremost subject matter expert on technical and financial requirements, ensuring rigorous compliance and managing all mandatory post-award reporting and utilization timelines.
- Internal Integration: Partner with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to integrate funding strategies into the core commercial roadmap, optimizing our offerings for maximum grant eligibility.
- External Relations: Cultivate and maintain critical, long-lasting relationships with key government officials and contracting stakeholders to secure future business and provide expert guidance on regulatory changes.
WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM YOU?
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Public Policy, or related technical field.
- Minimum of 4 years dedicated to securing large-scale federal and state funding (e.g., grants, tax credits, rebates) within the Electric Vehicle (EV), renewable energy, or transportation infrastructure industries.
- Proven expertise with key federal programs such as the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Formula Program, EPA grants, and/or Department of Energy (DOE) funding.
- Demonstrated success in leading the development and submission of complex, multi-million-dollar grants or funding applications.
- In-depth knowledge of grant management, compliance, and required reporting procedures.
- Exceptional communication, writing, and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex technical and regulatory requirements into clear, persuasive narratives.
