THE ROLE

As a Technical Communications Specialist at Kempower, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to the ever-evolving EV market.

In this role you will

• Produce, develop, and publish technical end-user content (user guides, installation and maintenance instructions, datasheets, instructional and other related materials) for Kempower hardware, software, and service products using technical communication tools (CCMS, delivery channels).
• Collaborate with engineers, developers, designers, and other stakeholders.
• Handle other technical communication tasks as defined by the team manager.

At Kempower, we work in a hybrid model. The distributed tech comms team works remotely quite often and meets biweekly in person at the Lahti HQ. Depending on your location, you can also work at the office in Helsinki, Lahti or Tampere. Some additional travelling may be expected in Finland.

WHAT HELPS YOU SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE

• MA or equivalent in languages or communication, technical communications studies.
• 1-3 years of experience in technical communications.
• Excellent written English, understanding of STE a plus.
• Good understanding of technical communications, structured and modular documentation, content creation and publishing tools (Paligo, FluidTopics).
• Information design skills: ability to produce clear technical and instructional content in various formats, breaking down complex concepts into clear and understandable content.
• Data collection skills: collecting data from various sources to produce precise, user-friendly content tailored to the audience's needs.
• Interpersonal skills and collaboration: partnering and collaborating with engineers, developers, designers, and other stakeholders to gather accurate information and ensure smooth workflows and teamwork.
• Good project management skills.

Our official company language is English, so proficiency in spoken English is also required.
