THE ROLE

As a Communications Manager, External Communications at Kempower, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to the ever-evolving EV market. We are looking for a creative and persistent person to manage Kempower’s public relations and social media presence. You are part of Kempower’s Marketing & Communications Team and report to VP, Communications. The role is an individual performer and does not at the time include people manager responsibilities.

In this role you will, 

•   Develop and execute Kempower’s PR and media strategy to enhance brand reputation.
• Manage and grow Kempower’s social media presence across multiple platforms.
• Coordinate and implement crisis management guidelines to ensure effective communication during critical situations.
• Coordinate collaboration with media outlets, journalists, and influencers.
• Work in collaboration with Kempower's PR agencies to ensure strategic alignment in external communications.
• Develop and implement a content strategy that supports Kempower’s brand positioning and business objectives.
• Utilize content as a key driver of Kempower’s B2B growth strategy, ensuring consistency across all communication channels.
• Draft press releases, statements, and other external communications.
• Work in close collaboration with the Regional Marketing Communications teams to ensure consistent messaging and brand positioning.

At Kempower we work hybrid. The team gathers weekly at our offices in Lahti or Helsinki, and we hope the selected candidate is either based in Lahti/Helsinki or is able to commute to the office to meet the team members and other Kempowerians.

In this role, occasional traveling is required in Finland and abroad.

WHAT HELPS YOU SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE

• 5+ years of working in public relations, corporate communications, and social media management.

• Expertise in content strategy and understand the role of content in driving B2B business growth.

• Ability to work under pressure and manage high-stakes situations effectively.

• The willingness and ability to learn quickly and adapt to rapidly changing situations

• Collaborative mindset with a strong sense of teamwork, active knowledge sharing, and seamless cross-functional cooperation.

• A valid drivers’ license (B) is essential to have, as you’ll need to move and drive EVs for content creation purposes

• Experience in EVs or the electric vehicle industry is seen as an advantage

• If you’ve worked with employer branding before, that’s a nice bonus!

As our official company language is English, fluency in spoken and written English is required; for this role, we also expect excellent spoken and written Finnish. Other languages are considered a plus.
