We are now looking for a Summer Trainee to join the Kempower Product Management team for approximately 3-4 months between May-September 2025. The exact start and duration of the summer trainee period will be agreed separately depending on the assignment. This is a paid traineeship. We offer a monthly salary based on the number of credits you have completed and previous work experience.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Summer Trainee in the Hardware Product Management team, you get to participate in the development and productization of DC fast chargers with the support from experienced colleagues in one of the leading EV charging manufacturers.

You will,

• Contribute to the creation of technical documentation with focus on electrical technology, such as functional and hardware descriptions.

• Get understanding of business and charging technology trends in electrification

• Support data analysis of product performance and quality.

• Get familiarized with product standards and requirements for different markets

• Support technical product marketing activities.

We hope you are curious by nature and eager for continuous development. Your working style is proactive and independent, and you enjoy getting things done.

There will also be a company onboarding in Lahti during the summer, where you will learn about Kempower as a company and the roles of different departments.

We expect you to work onsite at our Lahti office – occasional remote days could also be possible if the team feels it is the best way to work.

WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM YOU?

• You are enrolled as a student in a higher education institute (university or university of applied sciences) and have completed at least 3 or 4 years of studies in a relevant field, such as electrical engineering or power electronics

• You understand the basic principles of energy conversion via power electronics. A deeper understanding of power electronics is seen as an advantage.

• You understand the basic principles of low voltage electrical system design.

• You have eagerness to learn and the courage to make your mark on our product portfolio

• Good cooperation and communication skills

• Fluent written and oral English skills (as our official company language is English)
