THE ROLE
As a Senior Thermal Management Engineer, Power Electronics at Kempower, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to the ever-evolving EV market. On a typical day, you'll adjust and run complex thermal simulation (eq. Ansys Icepak) or analyze the results and test hands-on at the laboratory how to fit simulations and reality together, making a direct impact on our mission to revolutionize transportation.
You will be developing new power electronic systems for electric vehicle charging in a team of software, electronics and mechanical engineers
WHAT HELPS YOU SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree or equal knowledge in electrification, electronics and / or automation and minimum of approx. 3 years of design work experience
- Basic understanding of electronics design, mechanical design and software design and ability to coordinate design toward thermally solid design choices
- Knowledge of thermal simulation tools and cooling methods for power electronics
- Different testing, modeling, simulation and analysis skills and methods
- Liquid cooled system knowledge is seen as an asset
- Independent, hands-on mentality with willingness and ability to work also as a member of a multicultural and multidisciplinary design team.
- Efficient time management and prioritizing skills
- Proactive and practical approach to work
- Willingness to develop your skills and at the same time contribute to the development of the industry
At Kempower we work hybrid. In this role, regular working on-site at Lahti or Vaasa is expected.
As our official company language is English, proficiency in spoken and written English is required; knowledge of Finnish is seen as a plus.
