ABOUT THE ROLE
As an HR Generalist - Payroll, you will:
- Manage all payroll functions, including input, analysis, and reconciliation of timekeeping, new hires, terminations, salary changes, promotions, deductions, and bonus payouts.
- Review and confirm employee changes, including federal, state, and local tax setup, direct deposit information, voluntary employee benefit contributions, mandated garnishments, and other deductions.
- Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions, and ensure that policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
- Complete compensation surveys and benefit benchmarks to conduct analyses for determining the company's competitiveness in the market.
- Complete special projects by clarifying project objectives, setting timetables and schedules, conducting research, developing and organizing materials, and coordinating with stakeholders.
- Oversee the administration of HR-related programs to ensure compliance with policy, including review and approval of all HR-related documentation
- Assist with benefits programs, such as health, dental, and disability insurance, paid time off, and leave of absence.
WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM YOU?
- 2+ years of experience in HR, with a focus on employee relations, payroll, and benefits administration
- SHRM, PHR, or CPP preferred
- A bachelor’s degree in HR or equivalent experience preferred
- Experience managing payroll process
- Excellent project management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience implementing new payroll systems preferred
